Elvis is alive and well! The King made a guest appearance at a fund raiser in town this weekend for the Lilongwe Wildlife Centre.
While the King revived some old favourites, the Lilongwe mzungu crew rocked out at The Shack and a good time was had by all.
Ladies and gentleman, Elvis has left the building.

Hey I gotta say I love your blog – makes me want to go back to Africa.
I would also like to draw your attention to a new initiative to stop sexual violence in the Congo.
There is an EU-Africa Summit coming up in December where the Europeans can really pressure the DRC and the African Union to act. We’re trying to collect as many signatures as possible before that, demanding that the fight against sexual violence as a weapon of war become a TOP legislative and funding priority.

Thank you very much!
Comment by Rick September 24, 2007 @ 11:43 amI love it! How…incongruous. While I always expect to see many, many random things in the Congo, an Elvis impersonator has never crossed my mind.
Comment by gwinn September 29, 2007 @ 7:54 pmAh, the perfect term for life en Afrique: incongruous.
